Austin Harmony Chorus's remarkable journey began with a vision shared by six women, and chartered as a chapter of Sweet Adelines International with 27 members on October 17, 2005.

We perform many different types of music, from broadway show tunes to the popular music of yesterday and today, and are always looking for ladies who would enjoy singing with us.  No formal musical background is required, and reading music is not necessary.  We provide all the tools necessary for each member to learn her part in every song we sing, so if you like to sing, please consider visiting one of our rehearsals.  We think you might just want to keep coming back.

The Austin Harmony Chorus is a group of Austin area women committed to sharing the barbershop musical art form with a wide variety of audiences, while enjoying the camaraderie of the group and a dedication to quality singing.

GOALS

Performance:  The Austin Harmony Chorus will become recognized in the community through providing frequent performances for a variety of audiences and at a variety of events.

Education:  The Austin Harmony Chorus members are committed to learning as much as they can about the art of barbershop singing, through great coaching and direction, while exploring a variety of musical styles.

Quality:  The Austin Harmony Chorus will become the best that it can be through a focus on quality singing and a dedication to excellence.

Friendship and Fun:  The Austin Harmony Chorus will ensure that rehearsals are fun, and that members enjoy the sisterhood and inter-chorus relationships that develop through shared vision and effort.

Commitment:  The Austin Harmony Chorus members realize that shared goals can only be reached through individual member commitment; therefore, each member will work on personal musical growth while supporting the needs of the chorus as a whole.
